This week we’re chatting to the lovely Hannah and Emily from Twice The Health
They share their experiences about how they got into the fitness industry and their top tips for budding fitness bloggers.
Here’s what Hannah and Emily have to say:
How did you get into the fitness industry?
We have always loved fitness. Both of us grew up on the track, spikes on and 800m conquered, encouraged by an active upbringing. Slowly but sadly surely we grew out of our sprints, and turned to the bar. Second year of uni saw us find passion in strength training and road running…which you could say has provoked our love of crazy challenges!
What has been your biggest success?
E: I would say that it is a toss up between the London Marathon and our Grand Canyon Run.
H: Biggest success for me would have to be The Prudential, completed just last weekend. Cycling is a pretty new hobby to me so to complete 100 miles in one go was not set to be easy.
How do you keep yourselves inspired and motivated?
E: Each other…its sad but true!
H: As much as we want the other to succeed we also want to be just as good!
What do you love the most about working in the fitness industry?
E: Meeting new and inspiring people. From an outside it may look as if we are all trying to do the same thing, but we each have our own niche and the support is incredible. Its great to mingle with like minded people and they can educate you on their area of interest.
H: I love interacting with new brands. It great to see what goes on behind the scenes of launching a new product or concept, ad what really goes in to making it a success.
If you could give one piece of advice to budding fitness bloggers what would it be?
E: Be true to yourself and your ‘brand’. Don’t get sucked in by money or products you do not wish to endorse.
H: But most importantly enjoy it! If it is not fun, change it up or move on.
