Established in 1957, Nuffield Health began life as The Nursing Homes Trust. Over time, we transformed ourselves into a private hospitals business where we gave people the freedom to choose.
Five decades later, in 2007, we set out a bold new vision to offer members and patients broader health and wellbeing services. We combined our hospitals, health clinics, fitness & wellbeing gyms, diagnostic units and a wide range of treatments into one complete health and wellbeing service.
Today, we are Britain’s largest not for profit healthcare business. We reinvest all profit in our expert staff, our technology and our facilities, to provide accessible, innovative ways for people to get and stay healthy. In everything we do, we put people first. We’ve built a pioneering, integrated network of more than 15,000 employees – including over 4,000 clinical practitioners, 31 Hospitals, 111 Fitness and Wellbeing Centres, 4 Medical Centres, 210 Corporate Fitness & Wellbeing Gyms, 50 Health Clinics, 66 Specialist Rehabilitation Centres and 2,000 Accredited & Governed Physiotherapists, delivering services that go way beyond traditional healthcare provision.
We’ve been doing what we do for over 50 years – and we’ll continue to build on our success through the dedication of our people. We’ll continue to grow, and to expand our services. We’ll continue to innovate, to explore new and better ways to help people live healthier lives. We’ll develop new and different services to support complete health journeys through our integrated clinical and wellbeing pathways.
